PROs
Reported 20,000+ members on email list. Established following. Public projects and rewards (anyone can view them on the site). Analytics tracking. Social media sharing.
CONs
No email verification. This means they might have 20,000+ emails on a list, but haven't verified if they are real or active email addresses. Expensive listings. Free membership with no member commitment.
BOTTOM LINE
BackersHub is the middle of the road for backer clubs. You could do better, but you could also do a lot worse. We feel their project listing fees are a little bit expensive since they do not verify their email addresses, but they do provide a performance report for their $297 and $497 packages. This should tell you know many opens and metrics your project email received. However, you will only find that out after you pay the fees.
BackersHub Review
BackersHub offers project promotional services for crowdfunding projects including Kickstarter and Indiegogo. This club was founded in 2013 by Dwight Peters, an outspoken entrepreneur. You can Google his name for lots of info about him. They do not provide a lot of information up front besides a few short notes on their submission page, so you are pretty much on your own when decided to use their services. They also have BackersHub social accounts for Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest linked in their site footer and actively share projects on all of these platforms. In this review, we will walk you through the BackersHub site, project submission process, and project fees for your crowdfunding project.
BackersHub Members
They report they have 20,000+ members (see the pricing screenshot in the gallery above). However, we found this hard to believe just like BackerCity and BackerLand. They have a club member signup form, but there is no verification process for email confirmation or reCaptcha. We were able to add multiple email addresses to their "member list" by entering random emails, so we just added about a few more users to the BackersHub ranks! It seems silly to say you have that many members when none of them are verified to make sure they are real.
A small number of dedicated club members will provide more support than 100,000 bot accounts any day.
Submitting a Project to BackersHub
For submitting projects to BackersHub, they provide a Submit link in the top menu bar. That will bring up the submission page. They have payment table on this page listing the project listing fees and whats included for that package. As you can see, they focus on email newsletters for the majority of their crowdfunding project promotions - see the previous section about not verifying emails on their list.

Our Backer Club Rating for BackersHub:
We gave BackersHub two and a half stars as a backer club. This was because they charge $97, $297, and $497 as standard fees for sending 1 to 3 emails about your crowdfunding project to their mailing list and posting your project on their site. It would be nice if they verified every email on their list. That would provide a lot more value for their service and make sure your project gets emailed to real people who are interested in backing your project. We liked their social media involvement and project facebook shares, tweets, and pins. This club could be a good investment if you want to spend the cash for the more expensive newsletter packages. If you are on a budget, there are better deals to market your crowdfunding project with other clubs.
